Lynn Galbenski
Chairman & CEO
As CEO, Lynn brings 18 years of business experience at Fortune 50 companies. She started her career at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, learning strategy, brand management and marketing from the best. She then moved to General Motors where she held posts in new product development, brand management, market research, segmentation and strategic alliances.
At Lumen, Lynn is driving Lumen Legal’s vision and strategy which includes several strategic alliances. With her marketing expertise, she has led Lumen’s thought leadership by launching two types of free webinar series. Read full biography.
John O’Connor
President & COO
John O’Connor, President and Chief Operating Officer of Lumen Legal, has worked across a variety of industries and company sizes, developing solutions to problems that organizations face. A former turnaround specialist, John now uses his experience to connect with General Counsel around the world, helping businesses implement strategies to mitigate risk while reducing overall costs on legal spend.
John credits his 14 years at FedEx with developing his organizational problem-solving skills. There, he worked on both large scale corporate service issues and localized operational issues, often using the FedEx cargo planes to commute to problem areas. He also worked extensively with TrafficStation and advised Marsh & McLennan in its turnaround. Additionally, he provided large-scale organizational consulting for corporations such as Nike, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Technicolor, resulting in measurable cost-savings and ongoing organizational best practices. David Galbenski, Esq.
Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives
As the head of Strategic Initiatives for Lumen Legal, Dave focuses on driving innovation and efficiencies for corporate legal departments and law firms. He is a frequent contributor to the ongoing dialogue of transformation in the legal services industry. His book “Unbound: How Entrepreneurship is Dramatically Transforming Legal Services Today” has been sold throughout the U.S., Canada, UK, Australia and Russia. Dave graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan Business School in 1990 and cum laude from Wayne State University Law School in 1993. Prior to joining Lumen Legal, Dave worked as a commercial litigation attorney in the Detroit law firm of Timmis & Inman.

Lynn oversees Lumen’s Document Review Center and Lumen’s
Consulting Services. Lumen’s Review Center (LRC) handles large-scale electronic document review projects for law firms, and national and international corporations. She is 100% focused on quality and client satisfaction in developing and managing end-to-end project solutions. Under her leadership, each review is staffed and managed by experienced, licensed attorneys, who have a proven track record in document review from both a substantive and technical perspective.
Lynn utilizes her project management expertise to build strong review teams, develop client specific workflows, establish process driven best practices and deliver targeted project metrics to clients utilizing Lumen’s proprietary dashboards containing operating, quality and project cost components. She and her teams have worked with and are knowledgeable about a wide range of software platforms and technologies.
Each of the above elements drives quality, efficiency,defensibility and cost-savings for each client review. Her work has achieved tangible results: Lynn achieved Six Sigma Green Belt status, working in conjunction with a Fortune 500 client team project, which realized a $287 million cost savings. As Lumen’s leader overseeing Consulting Services, she applies Six Sigma methodologies and tools to help Lumen’s clients achieve business process optimization,create a competitive advantage and drive cost savings.
Lynn has more than 17 years experience in the staffing industry, including 12 years managing large, cross-functional project teams. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Before joining Lumen in 2002, she served as director for an international staffing corporation and has worked for a major energy corporation. She is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and participates in Georgetown Law School’s E-discovery conferences focusing on best practices and emerging trends in e-discovery. She is also a member of the Detroit Chapter of Woman in E-discovery and The Association of Litigation Support Professionals.
Molly Frantti
Vice President, Finance and Administration
Molly Frantti serves as Lumen Legal’s Vice President of Finance and Administration. In addition to providing executive oversight of the Accounting department, Molly manages the Human Resource and Information Technology teams. She most recently served as Lumen’s Director of Finance and Accounting, where she managed payroll, financial compliance and all accounting functions.
With the legal business undergoing profound change, Molly applies best practices to operations that support both internal and external relationships. Molly has more than 15 years of diverse finance and accounting practice. Her experience includes four years as an auditor with a public accounting firm as well as experience as a Controller for a Harley Davidson Dealership. She has implemented significant cost-saving initiatives and operational best practices.
Molly graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Accounting in 1996. She was named “Luminary of the Year” in 2008 – a Lumen award program honoring employees for outstanding performance.
Iris Dalfrey
Vice President, Southern Region
Iris joined Lumen Legal in 2009, bringing a 13-year, proven track record in sales, business development and staffing industry management. Her staffing experience includes successfully implementing a diverse initiative while taking a lead role in Lumen’s relationships with minority-affiliated organizations.
Iris and her team expanded Lumen Legal’s presence in the Western and Southern Region.
Prior to joining Lumen, Iris secured the staffing for many of the world’s largest multinational firms, as well as effectively helping staff branch offices and small businesses. Iris’s strategic partnerships consist of working with prominent Fortune 500 Corporate Law Departments in the energy, insurance, technology, entertainment, engineering and financial sectors.
Iris graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Iris also obtained her certification in Legal Staffing.
Courtney Labadie, Esq.
Vice President Global Operations
As Vice President of Global Operations, Courtney Labadie works closely with major law firms and corporations on consulting projects, legal staffing, customized direct hire, contract needs and document review projects. Courtney oversees the Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois markets, while leading a team of legal staffing consultants and senior account executives.
While Courtney’s work touches on all aspects of staffing and management, she has extensive experience with time-sensitive, document review project planning and execution. Highlights include assembling and managing teams nationwide and internationally in a variety of legal matters including: Grand jury investigations, environmental cases, class actions, anti-trust litigation, Department of Justice investigations, mergers and acquisitions, employment actions, and other litigation matters. In addition, Courtney works with law firms and corporations to provide foreign language legal support, translation and document review, including Japanese, German and Spanish language projects.
Courtney’s consulting and staffing experience spans the energy, insurance, health care, financial, automotive, telecommunications, entertainment, retail, manufacturing and agricultural industries. She is a 2006 graduate of Wayne State University Law School and a magna cum laude graduate of Albion College, where she holds undergraduate degrees in Political Science and English. She is an active member of the Michigan State Bar, and is an active member of the Association of Litigation Support Professionals and the Detroit Chapter of Women in eDiscovery.
Kalynn Valenti
Manager of Information Technology
Kalynn T. Valenti manages Lumen Legal’s technology and communications infrastructure, which includes developing and implementing the company’s expansive, custom-designed, document review center. As Lumen’s Information Technology leader, Kalynn uses her expertise to drive cost efficiencies throughout the company’s operations. Kalynn supports the development of new, innovative technology initiatives for Lumen, and oversees global operations that require specialized technical solutions and support. She also created a support process to interface with leading industry discovery platforms.
Kalynn joined Lumen Legal in 2004, and has more than 15 years of Information Technology experience, including strategic planning, technical service design and delivery, and technical support. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. Kalynn has been honored three times as the Lumen’s “Luminary of the Year” – a Lumen award program honoring employees for outstanding performance.
Mark Adams, Esq.
Chief Legal Officer
Mark is a partner with a preeminent national law firm that specializes in health law. He has been Lumen Legal’s Chief Legal Officer since 1993.
Mark’s practice areas include business and commercial law, real estate and taxation for health law and commercial enterprises. Mark received his JD from Wayne State University in 1992 and his BA in Accounting from Michigan State University in 1984. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mark was a CPA with PriceWaterHouseCoopers.
