Women in eDiscovery: A Growing Resource for Women in Technology Law
Electronic
discovery has radically changed the way businesses handle electronic
data, and it has added a new layer of complexity to the practice of
law. Shawnna Childress, Lana Schell and Margaret Havinga often
discussed these and other related issues when they met at their nearby
Starbucks. They came up with an idea to organize, support and mentor
women who specialized in technology and the law. In one short year, the
non-profit organization Women in eDiscovery went from a three-person
coffee club to an international sensation with more than 1,800 members.
