Estimated Client Savings: $17 million over 10 years vs. large law firm rates

The Scenario:

A large, Midwest utility company engaged Lumen legal to provide a team of attorneys for a large-scale, asbestos-related document review project. The project was long-term and included the analysis and review of hard copy documents at more than eight locations in five states.

Our Solution:

  • Lumen utilized its proprietary database of more than 430,000 legal professionals as well as our strong reputation in the marketplace, to provide attorneys with previous review experience and the willingness to travel to multiple facilities.

  • Our team worked closely with law firm project managers to gain an understanding of the case and the issues involved. Lumen attorneys reviewed documents for responsiveness, privilege and coded for a variety of issues.

  • Our model allowed us to provide a talented team quickly, with the flexibility to scale as needed in response to work flow. As production deadlines drew closer, our team was able to dedicate additional hours to the review helping to meet project goals.

Outcome:

Lumen provided dedicated teams to successfully complete the project and delivered a large cost savings to our client. Over ten years, Lumen saved this client $17 million.
