Lumen Legal is partnered with a manufacturer and marketer of traditional photographic supplies, hardware and software for digital imaging to identify a Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Secondee for an opportunity of 12 to 24 months. This opportunity will be working at our client’s office located in Rochester, NY, east of Buffalo, NY.

 

The M&A Secondee will support corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives. This position will provide counsel and legal advice on company strategies and their implementation, manage a legal team, and work with outside counsel. The M&A Secondee will be involved in complex business transactions comparable to acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures as well as negotiating other critical contracts, legal affairs of the organization.

  

The M&A Secondee will deliver great results by:

  • Overseeing the delivery of legal services and resources to meet corporate goals, priorities, and strategies.

  • Advising and execution of sophisticated acquisition/divestiture deals.

  • Conducting due diligence.

  • Engaging outside counsel.

  • Supervising a legal team of Attorneys, Paralegals and Legal Assistants

Highly qualified applicants will possess the following education, skills, and experience:

  • 10+ years of experience handling mergers & acquisitions

  • Experience supervising a legal team for a public company.

  • Experience partnering with Outside Counsel

  • Strong knowledge of corporate law.

  • Juris Doctorate with a license to practice.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Must be willing to complete a Background Check.

  • Comfortable with corporate travel expectations of up 80% to Rochester, NY.

  • Must possess strong initiative, management, and leadership skills, with strong business acumen.
